Amb intenció de continuïtat, la Mostra de Cinema Llatinoamericà de Lleida va inaugurar fa tres anys una nova Secció, la de la publicitat. Amb la premissa de relacionar-se amb el millor de l’audiovisual llatinoamericà, la Mostra va apostar per arribar a un acord amb la millor plataforma existent en l’actualitat en aquest àmbit, el Festival Publicitari Iberoamericà “El Sol”, de Sant Sebastià, que enguany arribarà a finals de maig a la seua 23a edició. Enguany, la Mostra de Cinema Llatinoamericà de Lleida projecta tots els espots guanyadors en l’edició de 2007.
El festival de la publicitat llatina
Cada any, a final del mes de maig, la capital donostiarra és l’escenari elegit per la creativitat espanyola i iberoamericana per a exposar el millor de si mateixa. Les millors idees de l’any competeixen pels preuats Sols d’Or. “El Sol”, Festival Publicitari Iberoamericà, abans conegut com a Festival Publicitari de San Sebastián, és l’activitat més important que organitza l’Asociación Espanyola de Agencias de Publicidad (AEAP) amb l’objectiu d’impulsar la creativitat publicitària. L’any 2003, durant la seva divuitena edició, el festival decideix obrir la participació a tots els països llatinoamericans, Portugal i mercat USA hispà, amb la qual cosa el festival passa a tenir caràcter internacional i es converteix en un punt de referència per a conèixer les tendències publicitàries a nivell mundial. “El Sol”, que va començar el seu camí sent un festival de cine i televisió, és ara un festival multimèdia en el qual s’hi han anat incorporant amb el temps diverses seccions a concurs: Cine i televisió, gràfica, ràdio, suports interactius i mitjans. Des de la primera edició el 1986 s’ha convertit en el més prestigiós fòrum de reunió del sector publicitari a Espanya. La 23a edició d’ “El Sol” tindrà lloc a San Sebastián els dies 29, 30 i 31 de maig del 2008.
Overview
So as to have some continuity, the Latin American Film Festival of Lleida started a new section dedicated to advertising three years ago. With the intention of being in touch with the best of Latin American audio-visuals, the Film Festival committed itself to reaching an agreement with the most important platform in this field, namely “El Sol”, the Iberoamerican Advertising Festival in San Sebastian, which will be celebrating its 23rd anniversary at the end of May. This year, the Latin American Film Festival of Lleida will show all the winning ads from the 2007 festival.
The festival of latin advertising
Every year, at the end of May, the capital city of San Sebastián is the place chose by the world of Spanish and Latin American creativity to show what its best at. The best ideas of the year compete for the prestigious “Sol de Oro” award. “El Sol”, the Iberoamerican Advertising Festival, formerly known as the San Sebastián Advertising Festival, is the most important event organised by the Spanish Association of Advertising Agencies (AEAP), with the aim of promoting creativity in advertising. In its 18th year in 2003, the festival decided that all Latin American countries, Portugal and the Hispanic market in the USA could take part, thus making the festival not only international but also a point of reference for those who want to know about trends in advertising around the world. “El Sol” started off as a cinema and television festival but has currently become multimedia as different sections such as those of cinema and television, graphics, radio and interactive media applications have been incorporated into the competition over the years. Since the first festival in 1986, it has become the most prestigious forum for the advertising sector in Spain. The 23rd “El Sol” Festival will take place in San Sebastián on May 29th, 30th and 31st 2008.
